Library and High School Commons
I. WELCOME Elena Martinez y Rosa Bohorquez
President & Vice-President
II. HEALTHY OPTIONS INSURANCE Sra. Lupe Ledesma
Migrant/Bilingual Programs Director
a. She talked about where to go to get help to
fill up the healthcare forms.
b. And who to talk to if there are questions about
healthcare.
III. BULLYING Ray Alaniz
Coordinator of Family Services
a. He gave lots of different examples of bullying.
b. Talked about the law SHB 1444 which was
initiated in the legislative of 2002.
c. Bullying is the cause to many students not
wanting to attend school.
d. 60% of the kids identified as abusive in the grades
of 6-9 at the age of 24 they have a criminal conviction.
e. 40% are arrested 3 or 4 times at the age of 24.
f. He also declared that all schools are going to be
required to set rules to stop this type of bad treatment.
IV. PAMPHLET OF REGISTRY Ramon Najera & Lupe Ledesma
TO VOTE
a. They talked and explain the requirements to
be able to vote.
b. The audience was helped on filling up
the ballots to vote.
c. Every person looked well concentrated when they
were filling up the ballot forms.
d. At the end of the session: Mrs. Ledesma and Mr.
Najera let the audience know which candidate
won out of the ballots they filled up.
e. Voting date is February 19.
V. PETITION TO THE BOARD Elena Martinez, Rosa Bohorquez

PAC Official Members
a. On the 25 of February they will make a petition to the Board Directors.
b. On this petition they will asked the Board Directors for uniforms for
elementary school students.
c. Everyone that is interested on this issue is welcome to come with them.
VI. HOST PROGRAM Liz Driessen
Host Coordinator
a. HOST (Helping One Student to Succeed).
b. A grant was given to this program to buy books to give away to little kids.
c. This program involves both child and parents.
d. Each child that was present in the PAC meeting got a free book to take home.
1. She also talked about video games.
2. Parents need to be really careful on the type of games their kids are playing.
3. Please read the label on the game case, it will tell you if that game is appropriate
for your kids.
VII. EARLY CHILDHOOD Rebecca Terrones
PARENT LITERACY
a. A new program that benefits you the parents who will be having a child
going to Kindergarten next year or in the future.
b. There is no cost for you the parents.

a. Hablo acerca de donde obtener ayuda para llenar las
formas para el seguro medico.
b. Con quien hablar si tienen preguntas acerca del
seguro medico
III. INTIMIDACION VERBAL Ray Alaniz Coordinador de
Servicios Familiares
a. Dio muchos ejemplos de intimidación.
b. Hablo de la ley SHB 1444 la cual fue iniciada en la
legislativa del 2002.
c. La intimidación es la causa por la cual muchos estudiantes
dejan de asistir a la escuela.
d. 60% de los niños identificados como abusivos en los grados
de 6 al 9 tienen una convicción criminal a la edad de 24 años.
e. 40% son arrestados 3 o 4 veces para la edad de 24 años.
f. También señalo que a las escuelas se les va a requerir poner
reglas para terminar este tipo de maltrato.

PARA VOTAR
a. Hablaron y explicaron los requisitos para poder votar.
b. También se les ayudo en como llenar las balotas para votar.
c. La audiencia se miro muy concentrada cuando practicaban
en como llenar las balotas.
d. Al final de la sesión la Sra. Ledesma y el Sr. Najera le hicieron
saber a la audiencia cual candidato fue el que gano de acuerdo a
los que ellos personalmente escogieron.
e. El 19 de Febrero es la fecha para empezar a votar.
V. PETICION A LA MESA DIRECTIVA Elena Martínez, Rosa Bohórquez
y Eduardo Bohórquez
Oficiales de PAC
a. Van a hacer una petición a la mesa directiva el 25 de febrero.
b. En esta petición se le pedirán uniformes a la mesa directiva
para estudiantes de la primaria.
c. Se les dio una cordial invitación a todas las personas que gusten
d. Acompañarlos a ellos en esta petición.
VI. PROGRAMA HOST Liz Driessen
Coordinadora de HOST
a. El programa Host significa Ayudando a un/a Estudiante a Superarse.
b. Una beca fue recibida por este programa para comprar libros
y regalárselos a los niños.
c. Este programa involucra a ambos a padres e hijos.
d. Al fina de la sesión cada niño/a que estuvo presente en la
reunión obtuvo un libro gratis.
e. Ella también hablo de los juegos de video.
f. Los padres deben tener cuidado con la clase de juegos que
sus hijos usan para jugar.
