Library and High School Commons
I. WELCOME Elena Martinez y Rosa Bohorquez
President & Vice-President
II. HEALTHY OPTIONS INSURANCE Sra. Lupe Ledesma
Migrant/Bilingual Programs Director
a. She talked about where to go to get help to
fill up the healthcare forms.
b. And who to talk to if there are questions about
healthcare.
III. BULLYING Ray Alaniz
Coordinator of Family Services
a. He gave lots of different examples of bullying.
b. Talked about the law SHB 1444 which was
initiated in the legislative of 2002.
c. Bullying is the cause to many students not
wanting to attend school.
d. 60% of the kids identified as abusive in the grades
of 6-9 at the age of 24 they have a criminal conviction.
e. 40% are arrested 3 or 4 times at the age of 24.
f. He also declared that all schools are going to be
required to set rules to stop this type of bad treatment.
IV. PAMPHLET OF REGISTRY Ramon Najera & Lupe Ledesma
TO VOTE
a. They talked and explain the requirements to
be able to vote.
b. The audience was helped on filling up
the ballots to vote.
c. Every person looked well concentrated when they
were filling up the ballot forms.
d. At the end of the session: Mrs. Ledesma and Mr.
Najera let the audience know which candidate
won out of the ballots they filled up.
e. Voting date is February 19.
V. PETITION TO THE BOARD Elena Martinez, Rosa Bohorquez

PAC Official Members
a. On the 25 of February they will make a petition to the Board Directors.
b. On this petition they will asked the Board Directors for uniforms for
elementary school students.
c. Everyone that is interested on this issue is welcome to come with them.
VI. HOST PROGRAM Liz Driessen
Host Coordinator
a. HOST (Helping One Student to Succeed).
b. A grant was given to this program to buy books to give away to little kids.
c. This program involves both child and parents.
d. Each child that was present in the PAC meeting got a free book to take home.
1. She also talked about video games.
2. Parents need to be really careful on the type of games their kids are playing.
3. Please read the label on the game case, it will tell you if that game is appropriate
for your kids.
VII. EARLY CHILDHOOD Rebecca Terrones
PARENT LITERACY
a. A new program that benefits you the parents who will be having a child
going to Kindergarten next year or in the future.
b. There is no cost for you the parents.
